A Hybrid Modular Interline Current Flow Controller for Meshed HVDC Grids

In meshed high-voltage direct current (HVdc) grid, the flows through lines cannot be controlled with sufficient freedom without additional power electronics-based devices, namely flow controller (CFC). this article, a novel hybrid modular interline CFC is proposed based on H-bridge submodules and thyristor valves. Due to its modularity, particularly suitable for applications requiring high voltage large capacity. The circuit structure, operation principle, parameter design are presented. addition, control strategy developed CFC. Simulations carried out using four-terminal HVdc grid verify effectiveness of topology strategy. A downscaled prototype built, which further validates
